OK, so I don’t really do a lot of landscape type stuff…….I would like to, but I just don’t think that my pictures of mountains and sky’s and “the earth in general” ever turn out as great as they should….I just cant seem to capture the scene in my camera like it truly was….I know people who do this….Adrian Klein I think he is freaking AWESOME if you look at his post from June 19th from the June Summer Convention, there were 20 photographers that got up in the middle of the night and went to sparks lake, you can check out how TOTALLY AWESOME his picture is, well he tried to teach me, but I think one of two things happened that day…..I have a little A.D.D in my blood and I just find it very hard to sit still and wait for things to be perfect, and/or, I’m so used to the constant craziness of my life with busing kids around, waking up constantly throughout the night with the children, going to work on such little sleep, never and I mean NEVER having complete silence for any given minute in my life that I found it almost impossible and completely uncomfortable to be out there at the lake with no one around for miles, and the only sounds we heard were the birds, and the water splashing against the shore….it was almost as if I couldn’t handle something that is necessary……anyways, Adrian and I compared SOOC (straight out of Camera) shots, and his BLEW mine away….miles and miles away…..I was in total awe of his ability with nature! ANYWAYS after Deanne and her family left the photo shoot on Sunday, I had to stop at the river and check it out. I walked down to the shore where I was immediately greeted by some starving swans and ducks. The air was freezing, and the grass was dead……but it was so pretty! So here is my attempt at some pictures of the Deschutes in Winter….Enjoy!
This is my Favorite picture from the river bank, I was quite the swan wisperer that day, he was showing off for me

The reason I like the next picture is because it reminded me of that story “The Ugly Duckling” almost as if he’s looking at his reflection……
