What a Nice New Year :)

MAN O MAN!!! By the time Christmas is over every year I’m SO exhausted! I had such a great Christmas this year, had TONS of photo sessions, some last minute Seniors, Some AWESOME families! I have to say that I LOVED my clients in 2011, I think I have FINALLY hit the place in my business where my clients and I are all on the same page YAY!!!! I had the Best Families for Christmas Sessions, I felt that they all had a “story” and were all really grateful to have their pictures taken, and make a little bit of history to pass on to future generations, I LOVE THAT!!!

I have some great things in the works for 2012 and I’m SOOOOOO excited AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (thats me screaming outloud) I have 3 big things in the works that I can not wait to announce!!!! One has to do with my Senior Sessions and the other have to do with my business in general YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Every Year I’m closed in January due to just needing a break! I’m kind of thinking of extending this thru Feb as well this year just because my family didn’t get me a lot thru the Holidays and they miss me Honestly I miss being a mom too….so I need to devote some more time to them and just “being there” So for January and Feb (unless I do a Valentines mini” I will be closed ……. WAIT WHAT DID YOU SAY? “JEN, I have a gift card that I need to use” or JEN, I just had a baby and have to have newborn pics” CALL ME 541-350-6544 or email me jenniferlewisphotography@gmail.com and I will get you scheduled it’s not like I’m out of commission, just need a small break If you have some reason that just can not wait for pics, PLEASE call, it’s really ok

ALSO, while I’m at it……Do you know a Junior in High School this year and a Senior next year?? I’m looking for some great Reps from ALL the Local schoools! Bend High, Mt view, Summit, Redmond High Schools, Sisters High, Priveville, ect…… If you know someone who is a good match (outgoing, friendly, preferable a good student) please have them contact me! It’s a great way to earn your senior pics for FREE!!!!

So in the last 2 weeks I have had so many “do you do belly pics”? UM YES! Seems like everywhere I go someone is asking me about my maternity sessions! Meet Danielle, I have known “Dani” for about 2 years now, met her at the coffee hut, and I LOVED her makeup. This girl knows how to apply makeup so awesome, her eyes are to die for! ANY-HOO, Dani’s gonna have a baby! He should be here any day and we are SO excited to meet him and do his newborn pics. Dani looks awesome, I’m always in awe how beautiful women are when they come in for maternity pics, I felt like a COW when I was weeks away from having my babies. I SO wish someone would have taken beautiful pictures of me when I was about to become a mommy…(ON ANOTHER NOTE, you should see my maternity pics, they are AWFUL, almost funny… and awful experience at a Mall store”) I will be writing more on Maternity sessions VERY soon! ENJOY these pics!!!

Ah, as the Year comes to an End, I’m exhausted….. In the best way possible. I have worked hard this year and had a GREAT YEAR and I’ve taken some beautiful pictures. I have to toot my own horn a little and say I’m VERY VERY proud of myself. I have taken on A LOT this year and most of it has gone smoothly! I have learned some GREAT lessons in business and friendship, and trying to balance family with owning my own business. With that said I will be taking the rest of december and probably most of January off. During this time I will be working on reorganizing and restructuring my business to give all my loyal customers (THANK YOU) “MORE”- when you come to see me in the Spring and Summer. I’m so excited to show everyone all the “cooky” little ideas that my brain has been cooking up and just have not had time to execute!

With all that said, IF you are already on the books for a session, or I’m working on custom products for you, I’m Not Bailing on you, and I will be blogging along the way about what I’m up to

THE ONLY EXCEPTION I will be making in my time off, is for little TINY newborns!!! Those newborns just cant wait to be photographed. ON THAT SAME NOTE- I’m wanting to update my newborn portfolio and will be offering a limited amount of FREE sessions for newborns so if you will have a Newbie and are willing to come in during the first week of your babies arrival, I would LOVE you to get in contact with me!!!! It’s very possible that I will be offering some more “modeling” sessions as I work on my new Marketing Campaign and will need some models!!! SO stay tune, and please add me as a friend on Facebook to keep up to the minute with me.

I look forward to seeing all of you in the up and coming year!!!!!!

Newborns are just so cute….when they’re not mine! I have 2 kids and to me that was the Hardest time ever when you bring that little bundle of joy home from the hospital and you have NO CLUE WHAT TO DO! Sleepless nights, and non stop crying, and up every two hours, and the constant worry of “is my baby OK” AHhhhhhhhhhhhhh just the thought of it makes me irritable

BUT when I know that they can go home with mom and dad and that I get to hold them and love on them, it’s AWESOME!!!!!!!!

So little Sophia Came to see me- I just love her little round Face! Enjoy

So I have a new Obsession…..hats on babies….

I LOVE that I get the chance to take pics of these babies make them SOOOO freaking cute then send them home Amanda Brought Ryker in to see me a few weeks ago, you may remember him from a previous post………BUT here are a couple pictures we got of him! We call the one in the Cocoon our National Geographic baby cuz he just looks so “Natural” hehehe! I think I’m gonna have to get a big Canvas for the studio!!!! Enjoy

Victoria Brought her Cutie Pie Alicia into see me in January, And I never got a chance to post some of the cute pics we took at the session! Victoria is Such a Creative woman! She has an Etsy Site where she sells the cute outfits, patterns and hair accessories. I highly recommend buying one of her cute outfits for your photo session!!!!!

Amanda and Ty came to see me yesterday, and brought me their new little baby Ryker…he is 6 weeks old…this is my NEW favorite age for baby pictures…

Of course I will post some of the cute pictures that I got later, but as I was editing them, I found this adorable shot. I know it’s just mom and dad trying to put on Rykers hat..But to me, this picture speaks so much louder then that, it shows teamwork which I think is SO important when it comes to children. I ALSO LOVE that TY was totally involved in the picture process and he was there to support Amanda and Ryker in Every way! I LOVE DADS THAT HELP OUT!!!- maybe you think I’m crazy, but I REALLY love this picture!!!Ryker on the other hand was NOT so happy with us
