Complaints in General, this is a Hard one for me……I try REALLY REALLY hard to give my best customer service possible. I try to show up early and deliver your products before I told you I would….I’m not going to lie, I’m only one person, and I have a family. Sometimes things come up and it might take me a few extra days…..But I will always do my best to stay in contact with you and let you know if I’m going to take longer then expected! I will try and make you Look your best in each photo, but I can NOT change who you are, face it we are all people we are all different and that’s ok. I’m not judging your size or shape or anything in your pictures and we should all be happy to be able to have this EXACT moment to spend with our loved ones, no need to get on yourself for being a different size then you were when you were 20…….It’s all about today and showing the love we have for our family and friends!!! I can Do wonders in photoshop but I urge you to look past the things you see as not perfect and look at the happiness in each photo. Blemishes are automatically erased, and gray roots can be minimized, double chins can be made a little smaller, but I will not make you a size 2……I’m sure there is someone out there who will do that, but it’s not me.
On a super serious note…..
Recently I was contracted by a vendor to take photographs at a local wedding…I had never met the bride or the groom before the day of the wedding as they specifically told the vendor who hired me they did not want to pay for professional pictures of their wedding….I showed up on time, earlier then I needed to be there actually, I stayed out of the way and got the photos I needed to get for what I was hired for (decor, food, cake, flowers) I came home edited the pics and sent them to the vendor. Before you know it the bride was contacting me to see the pictures…..I was SLAMMED with 3 paying weddings, 2 family sessions and 15 senior session at the time and she was not my customer, but I told her nicely that I would get to it when I could but I was REALLY busy…..I then get a letter from her telling me I can’t use any of the pictures from that day in ANYWAY– UM? OK, first of all go read the section on “don’t I own the photos” and “can’t I just order a 4×6 and copy it” Then after a couple letters back and forth (I’m not going to lie, I was REALLY mad) between her and I, I got a very threatening letter from the groom……my husband actually had to contact him and tell him not to contact me ever again, it was a little scary for me…..let me tell you again…THESE WERE NOT MY CUSTOMERS…..THEY DID NOT HIRE ME…..THEY DID NOT PAY ME A PENNY…..THEY TOLD THE VENDOR THEY DIDN’T WANT PROFESSIONAL PICS OF THEIR WEDDING……..what they did want is to scare me into giving them their pictures for free…..good thing I’m a member of the Professional Photographers of America and have Lawyers when I need them…and I needed them…Where am I going with this story? Well, They wrote a letter to the local Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau, both letters that I received copies of….the thing that hurt me was that they were filled with lies! Telling them I was late arriving to the wedding, that I came in the middle of the wedding, that I was doing bad business, that I was rude and interfered with their family photographer, that I insulted her and their family….all of it lies…it REALLY REALLY hurt, becuase I do try so hard to be great at my business presentation, the things I do in the community, and the people I know…..This hurt…..I REALLY wish they would have called or wrote an email that was nice……I’m nice, sometimes to nice. My point you ask? If something is not what you wanted or how you wanted PLEASE talk to me about it, I like to talk and I’ll try as hard as I can to make it up to you and make you happy.I will not however be taken advantage of, and I can not do things for free, this is how I pay my bills and Feed my kids. I want you to have a great experience at JLP, I want you to recommend your friends and family to come to me, cuz you think I’m fun….I do not like things like this, they stay with me and eat at my soul becuase deep down I really REALLY care what you think!!! In 5 Years this is the only complaint I have received in regards to my business practice and I NEVER want it to happen again.
